Yusuf Can Akay is one of the founding partners of BA Consultancy. Since 2012, he has been a member of the Istanbul Bar Association. He holds an LL.M degree in business law from Istanbul Bilgi University (2016), with a dissertation focused on the "Essential Facilities Doctrine and Its Applicability on Intellectual Property Rights."
With experience as general counsel for multiple leading startups and scale-ups, guiding them from establishment through series A fundings and beyond, he possesses a profound understanding of all aspects of startup advisory.
He provides consultancy in various fields of law, mainly focusing on Intellectual Property Law, Capital Markets Law, and Corporate Law. He is fluent in English and an enthusiastic learner of French.
